Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a fast-paced hospital OR with general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT experience. The role requires an active Texas RN license and 2+ years of recent OR experience.

The position offers day shifts (3x12s) with call responsibilities. Travel housing assistance, licensure reimbursement, and per diem benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active TX or Compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Pediatric surgical experience preferred.
• Pending license accepted at time of consideration but must be active before start date.

Responsibilities

• Operate in OR setting supporting general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical cases.
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) with rotating days off.
• Call responsibilities required.
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, cardiovascular, and general surgery.
• Support trauma cases including gunshot/stab wounds and multi-injury motor vehicle accidents.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting supporting general, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical cases
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM-7:00 PM) with rotating days off
• Call responsibilities required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide variety of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, cardiovascular, and general surgery
• Support trauma cases including gunshot/stab wounds and multi-injury motor vehicle accidents
• Facility conducts its own on-site drug screen including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• RTO must be submitted with consideration, and some holiday coverage should be expected
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers considered as long as required skills and experience are met
