Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with recent neuro and ortho surgical experience for a 13-week assignment requiring call and holiday coverage.

Schedule: 10-hour shifts (0630–1700), 4 shifts per week, with on-call duties. Cerner EMR is used. Local candidates within 50 miles are not considered; travel/non-local traveler requirements apply and RTO must be approved upfront.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience.
• Expertise in neuro and orthopedic surgical cases.
• Robotics experience required for some cases.
• Cerner EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Surgery/OR department position within a hospital setting.
• 10-hour day shift schedule with 4 shifts per week, hours may vary starting around 0630-1700.
• On-call requirements apply.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)
• Does not accept local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
• RTO must be requested upfront and cannot be requested after offer
