Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment in Oregon. Candidates must hold an Oregon RN license and have Epic EMR experience.

The role offers a 4x10 schedule (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) with call one night per week and one weekend every 6 weeks, plus floating within the site/system. BLS required; ACLS preferred. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements provided.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting
• Active OR RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must complete Epic Test-Out Module; mandatory 8-hour Epic training assigned if not passed
• One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
• No felony convictions accepted; any background hit requires explanation statement and waiver documentation

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Must be able to circulate, scrub experience preferred
• Call required one night per week and one weekend every 6 weeks
• Floating required within site and across the system
• Responsible for circulating duties in the Operating Room
• Must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment start
• Low census mandatory cancellation policy applies; must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start
• May be mandatorily cancelled one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
• Compliance documentation must be completed by the Wednesday prior to start date
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted; no RTO during the first 2 weeks of assignment
• Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local travelers not accepted; candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any facility within the system
• First-time travelers are not considered for this role
