Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for an Operating Room assignment in Illinois. This travel role requires 2+ years OR experience, Epic proficiency, and a prior successful travel assignment.

The 13-week contract runs on day shifts from 06:30 to 17:00 with 10-hour shifts, no weekend or on-call requirements, and a 30-minute lunch break. You will receive housing support, travel and licensure reimbursements, and comprehensive insurance options.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Experience with Orthopedic, General, and Robotics (da Vinci) cases required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history
• At least one travel contract completed
• Scrub experience preferred
• Two current professional references within last year
• At least one travel reference preferred
• Full SSN required

Responsibilities

• Operate in an Operating Room setting within a hospital
• Handle Surgical cases including Orthopedic, General, and Robotics (da Vinci)
• 13-week contract on day shift
• 10-hour shifts from 06:30-17:00
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements, though helping out is welcomed
• 30-minute lunch break
• 4 hours of non-billable orientation
• Culture fit with team-player attitude and reliability
• Must be on time for all shifts
• No holiday coverage required for this assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent staff must be separated for 12 months before travel eligibility
• RTO for 13-week contracts limited to 7 days
• Facility conducts a brief interview (10-15 minutes) as part of hiring

• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the area, dated within the last year
