Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in Portland, OR. Active OR licensure, Epic experience and Trauma Level I background are required.

The role includes 4x10 hour days, weekend work, and float responsibilities to CHH and nearby affiliates. COVID vaccination is required. Previous travel nursing experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Active OR RN license required; preferred in hand at submission.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA Traditional, RQI not accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience.
• Trauma Level I hospital experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Scrub skills required.
• Two manager or supervisor references from within last 24 months required (Charge RN references not accepted).
• COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate in OR unit in a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM-5:15 PM.
• Schedule runs Friday-Monday after orientation.
• Float to CHH (ambulatory) and potentially other affiliate hospitals nearby.
• Weekend work required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Epic EMR required.
• Perform operating room nursing duties within a Trauma Level I hospital environment.
• Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation.
• Candi-dates must have RTO requests submitted upfront, not exceeding 2 weeks.
• Former OHSU employees or previous travelers must be gone at least 6 months before returning and must provide a reference from their prior OHSU manager.
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mile radius restriction.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
