American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for day/evening shifts in California, requiring ortho, neuro, and trauma experience and Epic proficiency. You must hold a CA RN license with ACLS, BLS, and PALS, and have at least 1 year of full-time OR experience.

CNOR is preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus. The role involves circulating in the OR, coordinating equipment and staff, on-call duties weekly, and using Epic EMR.

Responsabilidades

• Circulates in the Operating Room and coordinates equipment, supplies, and staff flow.
• Day/evening shifts, 0600-2030, five 8-hour days with rotating start times.
• On-call responsibilities of at least one night per week and one weekend per schedule.
• Assists surgeons and anesthesiologists while ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative phase.
• Documents tissue/allograft handling per manufacturer guidelines.
• Uses Epic EMR system for patient records and care planning.
• Position is represented by CNA.
• Local candidates accepted at same rate as travel candidates.

Requirements

• Competent in patient positioning and pre/intra/post procedure care planning and assessment
• Competent in safe handling and disposal of biohazardous materials

Responsibilities

• Surgery department within an acute care hospital featuring a Level III NICU and county-designated trauma center
• Day/evening shifts, 5x8s, Monday through Friday, 0600-2030 with rotating schedule and start times
• On-call responsibilities of at least one night per week and one weekend per schedule, with potential for more based on need
• Circulates in the Operating Room during surgical procedures and coordinates equipment, supplies, and staff flow
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Assists surgeons and anesthesiologists while ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care
• Participates in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment
• Documents tissue/allograft handling per manufacturer guidelines, including temperature and package integrity verification
• Accesses facility information systems to retrieve and utilize patient care information
• Position is represented by CNA
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be automatically declined
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
