American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with CA licensure for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment. The role requires EPIC experience, 1:1 patient care, and flexibility to cover major holidays.

Responsibilities include working in General/Ambulatory/Trauma OR settings, 3×12-hour day shifts, and on-call post-shift hours. Travel may involve floating to sister facilities within the state, with housing and licensure support available.

Formación

• CA RN license required, compact license accepted at submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications current
• Minimum 2 years OR experience
• Epic charting/EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Scrub experience across multiple specialties
• Experience with surgical equipment (cell saver, EUs, fiber optic lights)
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Full SSN and DOB required

Responsabilidades

• Operate in a 320-bed acute care facility in OR settings
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio in OR and trauma areas
• Work 3x12-hour days 7:00–19:30; participate in on-call shifts
• May float to like units or sister facilities within the state
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and charting
• Adhere to holiday coverage expectations and scheduling rules
• RTO requests submitted upfront; travel timing coordinated

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with CA licensure for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring EPIC experience and a 1:1 patient ratio.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Scrub experience required across multiple surgical specialties including Vascular, Gynecology, Plastics, Neurology, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, and Thoracic procedures (specific procedure experience as applicable)
• Experience with surgical equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic light sources
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital with 320 staffed beds
• Operating Room unit setting including General OR, Ambulatory OR, and Trauma
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, scheduled as needed Monday through Friday
• Post-shift call required from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM approximately once per week, may exceed as needed to meet unit needs
• Floating required between like units and potentially sister facilities within the state
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be open to working at least 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) with flexibility to meet unit needs
• Scrub color for RNs is Royal Blue; OR scrubs are provided
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at the time of application, with minimal flexibility post-submission
• Facility may call off scheduling once per two-week pay period
• First-time travelers are accepted if they have 2+ years of relevant OR experience
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not be submitting within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities nearby; refusal to float may impact assignment continuation
