Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level II Trauma Operating Room position in Reno, NV. The role requires 2+ years of Trauma OR circulating experience and prior travel assignment history.

Responsibilities include working in an 18-OR Level II Trauma OR, caring for neonates to geriatrics, and performing procedures across trauma, neurosurgery, and more. Schedule is 4 days a week with 8s/12s; Epic charting is used.

Qualifications

• Active NV RN license required prior to start.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA).
• 2+ years of Trauma OR circulating experience.
• Experience in a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma center.
• CMP bloodwork completed within 1 year of start date.
• Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment.
• Pre-op/Recovery RN, PACU, OR, and SDS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Level II Trauma OR consisting of 18 ORs.
• Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics.
• Common procedures include trauma, neurosurgery, Da Vinci robotics, urology, vascular, open hearts, pediatrics, trauma ortho.
• Weekday schedule, 4 days a week, combination of 8s and 12s.
• Call requirements apply.
• Epic charting system used.
• Provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patients.
• Coordinates care across multidisciplinary surgical teams.
• Works within a high-volume Level 2 trauma center serving a 500-mile radius.

• Weekday schedule, 4 days a week, combination of 8s and 12s
• Call requirements apply
• Epic charting system used
• Provides comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patients
• Coordinates care across multidisciplinary surgical teams
• Works within a high-volume, fast-paced Level 2 trauma center serving a 500-mile radius
• Facility features 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds with stroke accreditation
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
• Epic training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius as no local candidates accepted
• A 13-week break required for returning travelers before starting a new contract
• RTO must be submitted in advance and will not be added to the end of the contract
• No blocked scheduling permitted; all assignments are 13 weeks
