Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN in California for a 26-week travel assignment. This role requires an active CA RN license and strong circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties. Epic EMR experience is essential, with preferred ACLS and Hana Table familiarity.

Expect variable start times (7am/9am/3pm) on a 5x8 day schedule, with float duties to a sister facility. Benefits include housing allowance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Circulating experience with strong Orthopedic skills required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience with electrosurgical units and Hana Table preferred.
• Skills in administration of blood/blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, and wound management required.

Responsibilities

• Operate OR unit with variable start times (7am/9am/3pm) on a 5x8 day schedule.
• 26-week assignment; float to Healdsburg or Santa Rosa Memorial sister facilities.
• Use Epic EMR for charting; cover a broad range of surgical specialties.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CA RN license and strong circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Circulating experience with strong Orthopedic skills required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Hana Table preferred
• Skills in administration of blood/blood products, cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation monitoring, and wound management required
• Must provide full SSN and DOB for compliance
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit with variable shift start times (7am, 9am, or 3pm) on a 5x8 day schedule
• 26-week assignment
• Float required to Healdsburg or Santa Rosa Memorial sister facilities
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Covers a broad range of surgical specialties including General OR, Gynecology, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, and Ophthalmology
• Experience with Robotics and Mako Surgical System preferred
• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide variety of surgical specialties including Gynecology, Orthopedic, General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, and Ophthalmology procedures
• Responsible for infection control, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol time‑out procedures, and emergency management response
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post‑submittal requests may not be accommodated
• Travelers are expected to float between sister facilities and refusal may result in termination of assignment
• Local candidates accepted, though at a lower bill rate
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50‑mile radius of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including as permanent staff, travel, or per‑dime
