Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with robotics, neuro, plastics, and orthopedics surgery experience for a day-shift travel assignment in Louisiana.

Prior travel RN experience is required and an active LA or Compact RN license is required at consideration. Responsibilities include circulating and/or scrub duties across multiple specialties, 6:30 AM–3:30 PM shifts, weekend/on-call coverage, and Epic charting.

Qualifications

• Active LA RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Prior travel RN experience required (no first-time travelers).
• Required surgical experience: Robotics, Neuro, Plastics, and Orth surgery.
• Preferred surgical experience: Cardiovascular.
• Epic charting experience required.
• At least two recent manager references required.

Responsibilities

• Operate in Operating Room unit setting as circulating and/or scrub RN.
• Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM; weekend work required.
• Rotating weekend on-call and late call until 7 PM Monday-Thursday, plus Friday night call rotation.
• May float to other surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, neurology, cardiovascular, general surgery, orthopedics, and robotics.
• Completion of facility-specific pre-start education modules (5–8 hours, varies by specialty).
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate.
• Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before eligible for travel assignment.
