American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a day shift role in California, requiring CA RN licensure with OR, ortho, neuro, and robotics experience. Travel assignments with housing assistance and benefits are available.

The position requires BLS/ACLS, CNOR preferred, and 2+ years OR experience. Expected duties include circulating and possibly scrubbing, with weekend and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR preferred.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience.
• Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and robotics surgeries required; may screen with 2 of 3.
• First-time travelers require 5 years experience and are not eligible for skill screening.
• Circulating skills required; scrub skills highly preferred.
• References: 2 supervisory references over 1 year within last 3 years, including charge RNs or leads.
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Operate in the OR unit of an acute care Magnet-designated hospital.
• Handle inpatient and outpatient surgery cases.
• Work day shift, 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Weekend coverage typically every other weekend; may exceed based on unit needs.
• Call required, including post-shift and weekend 12-hour call.
• May float between sister facilities within the state.
• Epic EMR experience required.

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and robotics surgeries required, may screen candidates with 2 of 3 skill areas
• First-time travelers require 5 years of experience and are not eligible for skill screening
• Circulating skills required, scrub skills highly preferred
• References required: 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, including charge RNs or leads
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit in an acute care Magnet-designated hospital

• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

• Scrub color for RNs is Royal Blue, OR scrubs provided

• Must be open to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Travel pairs will not be considered
• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of application, minimal to no RTO accepted post-submission
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates
