Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week Operating Room assignment in Oregon. Requires 2 years of OR RN experience and an active Oregon RN license (pending acceptable). Oregon CNA license in hand at submission; BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred; Epic charting experience essential.

Night 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12s, with floating within a hospital or nearby affiliate (<15 minutes). First-time travelers are welcome; charge nurse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Oregon) required or pending at submission
• Oregon CNA license in hand at time of consideration
• BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years OR RN experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with robotic systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Operating Room department within a hospital setting
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Weekday 10-hour shifts and weekday night call shifts of 8 hours (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend scheduled and call shifts of 10-12 hours
• Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule
• Epic charting system required
• Floating within hospital or to affiliate hospital ~15 minutes away
• Support various surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, oral, neurology, trauma, podiatry, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and thoracic
• Experience with Da Vinci Xi and Mako preferred
• Key OR responsibilities: blood product administration, infection control, specimen handling, and Universal Protocol time-out
• Adherence to emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia management
• First-time travelers welcome
• Former permanent employees ineligible for six months after termination
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position within this health system
• No block scheduling
• RTO must be finalized before consideration
