American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in North Carolina. Must hold an NC or Compact RN license and BLS, with at least 1 year of circulating OR experience across multiple surgical specialties. Scrub experience is a plus.

Shifts are 10 hours (0630–1700), 40 hours/week, with weekend rotations and 6 on/6 weeks call expectations. Travel requirements include staying within 50 miles for eligibility and working approximately 75% of holidays.

Competenze

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent core experience in OR specialty required.
• Experience circulating cases across Ortho, Total Joints, Vascular, GYN, Robotics, General, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, Plastics, and Oral/Maxillofacial required.
• Experience scrubbing preferred but not required.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week contract requiring at least one year of circulating experience across multiple surgical specialties and NC or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent core experience in OR specialty required
• Experience circulating cases across Ortho, Total Joints, Vascular, GYN, Robotics, General, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, Plastics, and Oral/Maxillofacial required
• Experience scrubbing preferred but not required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel position
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• Operating Room setting within a 130-licensed-bed hospital that is a designated Stroke Center
• Common case types include Ortho, Total Joints, Vascular, GYN, Robotics (Davinci XI), General, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, Plastics, and Oral/Maxillofacial
• 10-hour day shifts scheduled 0630-1700, 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation as needed, which may include call or scheduled 8- or 10-hour shifts, discussed during interview
• Call required averaging 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 30-minute response time, which may include holidays
• No floating to other departments or facilities required
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps (not commonly used), Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors
• Circulate and support OR surgical cases including robotics, ortho, gyn, general, urology, and oral-maxillofacial procedures
• Work alongside Clinical Supervisors, Charge RNs, an Educator, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, Tech Engineers, and the Anesthesia Team
• Attend new employee/HR orientation plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Scrubs provided and free parking available
• Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays
• RTO requires manager approval
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Previous AHSE employees must be separated from any perm position for at least 1 year before being eligible
