Job summary

American Traveler seeks an experienced OR RN for a 13-week acute care assignment in Nebraska. Requires active Nebraska or compact RN license and minimum 3 years of circulating OR experience.

The role covers OR circulating duties in a two-OR unit, with on-site responsibilities, pre-/post-op care, and on-call requirements. Cerner EMR experience preferred; travel housing and licensure support available.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact license without restrictions
Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA) required, may start with it pending
NRP certification highly preferred but not required
Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience
Pre- and Post-Op and Circulating experience required
C-Section experience required
Cerner EMR experience
BSN not required
Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program

Responsibilities

Work in the Operating Room (OR) unit of an acute care hospital setting
Unit consists of 2 operating rooms
Cases include Colonoscopy, EGD, BMT, T&A, Arthroplasty (knee, hip, shoulder), Arthroscopy (knee, shoulder), Oral/Dentistry, Ophthalmic (Cataracts), and OB
Duties include OR circulating, admitting patients, discharging patients, and recovery care
Uses Omnicell and Cerner computerized charting system
Day shift schedule with 8-hour shifts
On-call required one weekday per week and one weekend every 3rd or 4th weekend
No floating required
40 guaranteed hours per week
Local candidates will be accepted
