Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring EPIC experience and a CA RN license. The role is based in California with travel-friendly benefits and a comprehensive set of certifications expected.

Candidates must hold an active CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with a minimum of three years OR experience in the last three months. BSN preferred. EPIC EMR experience is essential for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required.
• Minimum three years of recent OR experience within the last three months.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• OR skills checklist completed within the past year.
• Two supervisor references required (past year and past two years).

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgery/Operating Room unit of an acute care hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Call required 5 times within a 6-week period, including weekends.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Deliver coordinated nursing care for surgical patients according to established standards of care and nursing process.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, healing, humane care.
• Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care.
• Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, families, and treatment team members.
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.
• Vaccinations must be up to date as a condition of employment, with exemptions considered.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered.
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered.
