Job summary

American Traveler seeks an RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery unit in Oklahoma City. Requires at least 1 year of acute OR experience and an Oklahoma RN license (compact license acceptable). Must have BLS and be prepared for travel assignments.

Responsibilities include direct/indirect perioperative nursing care, night shift 8-hour shifts, and 40 hours weekly. Extensions limited; candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

American Traveler is hiring an RN Perioperative Circulator for an Adult Surgery unit requiring at least one year of acute OR experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative nursing practices
• CNOR certification preferred
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Adult Surgery unit within a hospital operating room setting
• Provides direct and indirect nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
• Night shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• Level 1 trauma center experience of 6+ months required
• Responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care throughout the perioperative process
• Individualizes care based on patient health status, age, and procedure type
• Documents and evaluates all aspects of care using the nursing process
• Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date to allow time for background checks and drug screening
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
