Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Endoscopy RN with 2-3 years GI/Endo experience and an active Massachusetts RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Qualifications

Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses).
AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required.
SGNA or CBSPD certification strongly preferred.
Minimum of 2–3 years of Endoscopy/GI nursing at one location.
Minimum of 2 years of traveler nursing experience.
Experience with GI Technician Endoscopy and Olympus scope setup, handling and reprocessing.
EPIC charting experience required.
Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions.
Two professional references required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Endoscopy/GI unit performing MAC and conscious sedation.
Work in a 7-room Endoscopy/GI unit with multiple PACU bays and procedural rooms.
Support MAC and conscious sedation procedures with holding and recovery areas.
Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2-3 in PACU.
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate charting and documentation.
Shift pattern includes day shifts with occasional longer or rotating hours.
On-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
No floating required; on-site responsibilities at facility.
RTO disclosures must be communicated at time of consideration.

Work in a 7-room Endoscopy/GI unit with 18 PACU bays and 8 procedural rooms
Unit performs MAC and conscious sedation procedures with holding and recovery areas
Diverse patient population with 60-70 procedures performed daily
Clinician to patient ratio of 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2-3 in PACU
Unit uses EPIC EMR for charting
Day shift schedule, primarily 7:15am-3:45pm with one rotating shift of 8:00am-4:30pm, or 7:00am-5:30pm
Department operates weekdays 6:30am-5:30pm with on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
No floating required
Free on-site parking available
