American Traveler is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN with 2+ years of GI procedural experience for a day-shift travel assignment in Tennessee. Active TN or compact RN license is required; BLS and ACLS certifications; duties include endoscopy procedures, pre/post care, airway management, IV starts, and sedation monitoring.

Day shifts are 4x10 hours (6:30am–5:00pm) with call, every third weekend and one weeknight; must reside at least 100 miles away.

Formación

• Active TN or compact RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of GI procedural experience.
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, pre/post procedure, and portable/bedside endoscopy cases.
• Airway management and recovery of conscious sedation and MAC sedation.
• IV starts and medications including opioid analgesics.
• 12-lead ECG/ECG experience.
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
• Monitoring conscious sedation and specimen handling/labeling.

Responsabilidades

• Work in Endoscopy department covering inpatient, outpatient, pre/post procedure, and portable/bedside cases.
• Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 6:30am-5:00pm).
• Required to work every third weekend and one night per week.
• Call coverage required.
• Uses Provation charting system for procedure documentation.
• Performs or assists with procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, EBUS, EUS, ERCP, esophageal varices/banding, and sclerotherapy.
• Works with equipment such as balloon dilators, electrosurgical units, ERBE, lithotripters, polyp snares, and foreign body equipment.
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical care duties.
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning modules.
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted).
• Relias EKG testing required within 72 hours of signing, with cancellation risk if not completed.
• Drug testing must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start, with possible retesting.
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certificates only accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, pre/post procedure, and portable/bedside endoscopy cases required
• Skilled in airway management and recovery of conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs and administering medications including opioid analgesics
• Experience obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
