American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Partum position in California. CA RN license and 2 years of Mother Baby experience are required, with travel nursing preferred and a driver\'s license for consideration.

Responsibilities include a high-volume unit, 12-hour night shifts, rotating schedules, and weekend coverage. Cerner EMR is used; cross-coverage and holiday coverage apply. Scrubs provided and housing support available.

Qualificações

• Active CA RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of prior Postpartum nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Responsabilidades

• Acute care Post Partum/Mother Baby unit with 18 postpartum beds, 10 L&D beds with 2 ORs, and 2 triage beds
• Approximately 130 births per month, including 40-60 C-sections monthly
• Patient ratios of 4:1 couplets
• Charge nurse role shared between L&D and PP units
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 12-hour night shifts, rotating 0645-1915 and 1845-0715
• Every other weekend required, with 4 shifts in a 4-week period for weekend coverage
• First to float among staff, though floating not typical unless NICU background for feeder/grower or L&D to postpartum cross-coverage
• No call requirements
• No dedicated NICU, vents, IV team, or OB/Neonatologist in-house, though RT and Pharmacy available 24/7
• Telemetry patients transferred out with a 30-minute response time
• Deliver care for patients from 23 weeks gestation, including high-risk cases such as antepartum and hypertension patients
• Perinatology support available, with efforts to transfer out known cardiac baby abnormalities prior to delivery
• Scrubs provided
• Holiday coverage required for 1 major holiday (Christmas, Thanksgiving, or New Year\'s Day) and 1 minor holiday
• 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with the health system within the past year, though PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
