American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced MICU RN for a night shift position in Missouri. Requires ACLS/BLS, RN license (MO/Compact), and ICU expertise. Ventilator care, arterial and central line management, and vasoactive drip titration are essential.

Travel-friendly role with 3x12 shifts, weekends and holiday coverage. Navy scrubs required and mask seal standards apply. First-time travelers welcome; long travel history may affect eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO State or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• IV therapy and titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Experience caring for ventilated patients
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be clean‑shaven for respirator mask seal

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Night shift 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend
• 4 of 8 holiday shifts including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients
• Manage arterial lines, central/PICC lines, and blood products
• Must reside >70 miles from facility
• First-time travelers welcome
• Travelers who have worked >1 year must take a 6‑month break

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO State or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response required
• IV therapy and ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• Experience caring for ventilated patients required
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing, with no exceptions for medical or religious reasons

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Required to work 4 of 8 designated holiday shifts including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's periods
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients, including management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Responsibilities include arterial line management, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have worked as a traveler at this facility for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning
