Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Travel RN for the MICU in Texas with 2+ years MICU/MSICU experience and an active TX or compact RN license. The position requires BLS and ACLS certifications, with CCRN and Meditech experience preferred.

Expect rotating weekend shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with no on-call requirements and floating as needed. The role emphasizes ICU bedside procedures, central line care, and thorough documentation in Meditech, with housing allowance and travel/licensure

Qualifications

• 2+ years MICU/MSICU experience required
• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• CCRN preferred
• Meditech experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the MICU of a hospital setting
• Patient assignments based on acuity and skill level
• Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Documentation via Meditech
• Rotating weekend shift schedule, 7P-7A
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Perform a full range of ICU nursing procedures and bedside interventions
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Professional grooming standards apply including neat hair, no artificial nails, and covered tattoos where feasible
• No visible piercings other than ears permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of MICU/MSICU experience and an active TX or compact RN license on 7P-7A rotating weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand; temporary licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU/MSICU experience required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Experience with central line placements, bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures
