Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment in Missouri. You will work in the ICU across Medical, Neuro, and Surgical units, caring for ventilated patients with cardiac monitoring and vasoactive drips. MO/compact RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years ICU experience are required.

The position involves 3x12 hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with holiday coverage and eligibility for generous housing and travel reimbursements. Epic EMR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• NIHSS preferred.
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred.
• Must be able to manage complex ICU patients and multisystem disorders.

Responsibilities

• Care for ICU patients in Medical, Neuro, and Surgical ICUs.
• Care for ventilated patients and those with respiratory failure.
• Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response.
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Provide IV therapy including arterial/central/PICC line management.
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:00, 3x12 hours.
• Occasional weekends; travel-ready for assignments.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IV sedation, procedural sedation monitoring, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management experience preferred
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Covers Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, and Surgical ICU patient populations
• Cares for ventilated patients and those with respiratory failure
• Performs cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Titrates cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Provides IV therapy including arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Preferred Epic EMR experience
• Must work 4 of 8 designated holiday dates including Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions accepted
• CAPRs and PAPRS are not provided, and personal use of these devices is not permitted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
• Travelers cannot work more than 1 year at this facility; a 6-month break is required before returning
