Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night-shift travel assignment in Oregon. Requires 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active OR RN or compact license in hand.

You will work 3x12-hour nights, 19:00–07:00, with a 1:4 patient ratio, and may float to sister facilities. Epic EMR is used for charting; no on-call requirements. Housing and travel reimbursements may be provided.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license or compact license in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year in the last 3 years.
• Must disclose any prior employment history with the health system.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care MS/Tele unit on night shift (19:00–07:00).
• Maintain a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio and float to other units as needed.
• Epic EMR charting and no on-call requirements.
• Care for patients with cardiac telemetry, CVA, respiratory and renal conditions.
• Must have a personal vehicle and may receive incentives for floating to Seaside location.
• Commit to 3 of 5 major holidays; plan RTO upfront.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night-shift travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active OR RN or compact license in hand.

Requirements

• Active OR (Oregon) RN license or compact license required, in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, ABG interpretation, and wound care
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Candidates must disclose any prior employment history with the health system

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital setting on the MS/Tele unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend to every weekend work required
• Floating to other units and sister facilities within the health system may be required
• Epic EMR used for charting
• No on-call requirements
• Care for patients with cardiac telemetry, CVA, traumatic brain injury, respiratory, and renal conditions among other diagnoses
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Floating to sister facilities may occur, with additional incentives offered for floating to the Seaside location
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius, though at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
