American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift in Seaside, Oregon. Requires an active Oregon RN license, BLS/ACLS, and prior travel nursing experience with Epic EMR proficiency.

The RN will care for Med/Surg Tele patients in a 23-bed critical access unit, with a 3x12 night schedule and 1:4 patient ratios. Expect weekend work and potential float to regional facilities.

Qualifications

• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for Med/Surg Tele patients in a critical access hospital setting (MS/Tele unit).
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (3x12 hours).
• Work 4 weekends per month.
• Patient ratio 1:4; may float to sister facilities.
• Provide direct patient care for cardiovascular, post-MI, orthopedic, and surgical drain patients.
• No on-call requirements.
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring an active Oregon RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital setting with 23 staffed beds on the MS/Tele unit
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• May float to other units based on skill set and facility needs, including sister facilities in the region
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide direct patient care to a Med/Surg Tele population including cardiovascular, post-MI, orthopedic (total joint replacement), and surgical drain patients
• Scrubs may be any color, except OR/L&D where scrubs are provided
• No fee for parking
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; requests after submission may not be accommodated
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including dates and location
