Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week assignment in California. Active CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, EPIC EMR experience, and prior travel nursing are required to be considered.

The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit with a 1:5 patient ratio. Day shifts are 3x12s (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with float duties and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in-hand at time of application.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications in-hand at time of application.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in work history.
• Two supervisor references required at time of application.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit caring for adult and geriatric patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), Monday-Friday.
• Float required.
• Weekend coverage required as needed.
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible as a traveler.
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO preferred per 13-week contract.
• Manager may or may not conduct an interview prior to placement.
