American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment in California. Requires a CA RN license and 2+ years of relevant experience with cardiac telemetry and IV therapy.

Night shift, 3x12s (1900-0730), every other weekend; floating to Med/Surg and ED holding areas based on census; Epic EMR training and orientation provided. Travel-friendly with housing and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• EKG certification required (provided by facility)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (hard stop)
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with blood product administration and phlebotomy
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with feeding tube care and management
• Experience with heparin protocols, PCA, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with IV insulin protocols
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care
• Experience with wound care and wound vac management
• One professional reference required within 2 years
• Current Nursys verification required, pulled within 2 weeks of consideration

Responsabilités

• Med/Surg Tele unit caring for adult general medical and telemetry patients
• Patient population includes cardiovascular, GI, GU/renal, and wound care cases
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Med/Surg and ED holding areas based on census
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide nursing care to adult general medical and telemetry patients, including cardiac, renal, and GI cases
• Complete EPIC training modules during orientation
• Self-scheduling available for this unit
• RTO requests must be pre-approved by the manager and submitted at time of consideration
• First-time travelers will be considered if they have the required experience
• Previous permanent staff of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
