American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Middletown, CT. The role requires 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active CT or compact RN license.

Responsibilities include working on a 26-bed unit with 1:3-4 on days and 1:7-8 on nights, 3x12-hour shifts, and coverage for weekends/holidays. EPIC EMR is used for charting, with 24/7 support from hospital services.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, CT or compact, currently in hand.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care.
• 26-bed unit with patient ratios 1:3-4 days, 1:7-8 nights.
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:30 am.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
• Walk-in EPIC EMR documentation and nurse staffing support.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license, CT or compact, currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 26-bed unit treating general medical diagnoses
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 on days and 1:7-8 on nights
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7:30a)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required, including full weekend days
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Charge nurse coverage shared with another unit
• Nurse aide support available at a 1:8 ratio
• IV team available 7am-8:30pm, with nurse resource support available 24/7
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7, with nurses performing respiratory treatments
• Hospitalist coverage available 24/7
• Pharmacy services available 24/7
• Provide general medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care
• Scrub color is Caribbean blue, with black or white undershirts and black or Caribbean blue pants permitted
• Floor-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
• Minimal time off requested, with no RTO within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Blocked schedules cannot be accommodated
