Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift in Weatherford, TX. Candidates should have 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications; Meditech experience is preferred.

Active Texas RN license or compact license is required (temporary licenses not accepted). The role requires rotating weekends and night hours, with no on-call duties and travel/relocation considerations. Must reside beyond a 50-mile radius from the facility.

Qualifications

• Active TX RN license required; compact license not accepted.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg and hospital experience.
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not considered.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Med/Surg unit (2 South).
• Rotating weekend schedule and night shift hours 6:30 PM–7:00 AM.
• Floating to other units as needed; no on-call requirements.
• Perform IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and ADLs.
• Make nursing decisions within the scope of practice and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Med/Surg unit (2 South)
• Rotating weekend schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Performs general Med/Surg procedures including IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and ADLs
• Responsible for nursing decisions and actions within the scope of nursing practice
• Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Must demonstrate competency in Patient Experience standards including AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery
• Supervises other staff as designated within the department
• Navy blue scrubs with Medical City embroidery required, with proof of purchase
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
