American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Wisconsin. WI or Compact license required with at least 2 years of recent acute care telemetry experience. You must pass a telemetry exam and be skilled in IV therapy and cardiac monitoring.

The role is a travel position with day shifts (3x12s) and rotating weekends/holidays. Epic experience is preferred and housing or stipends may be provided.

Formación

• Active RN license (WI or Compact)
• BLS (AHA)
• 2+ years acute care in med/surg telemetry within last 3 years
• Telemetry exam with rhythm interpretation required
• IV therapy, line management, blood product administration
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management experience
• Chest tube, oxygen, feeding tube care experience
• Wound care, PPE, isolation precautions
• Ostomy care and surgical drain management

Responsabilidades

• Work in MS/Tele unit of a hospital environment
• Patient ratio 1:4
• Day shift 3x12-hour shifts 0700-1930
• Weekend rotation every third weekend
• Holiday rotation as scheduled
• Floating as needed
• Epic charting experience preferred within last 12 months
• Provide telemetry and Med/Surg nursing care in a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility for travel position
• Local candidates will not be accepted
• First-time travelers may be considered with 3 years IP RN Med/Surg exp in last 5 years
• Teaching/community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I/II exp preferred; Charge nurse experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (WI or Compact)

• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in med/surg telemetry
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation with strict passing criteria
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Experience with chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac), oxygen administration, and feeding tube care
• Wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE experience required
• Experience with ostomy care and surgical drain management
