Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Missouri. A MO state or compact RN license and cardiac telemetry experience are required, along with IV start and telemetry skills.

You will work night shifts (7p–7a), 3x12s, with every other weekend, and must be comfortable with Epic EMR. Benefits include housing allowance, travel reimbursement, medical/dental/vision, and non-taxed per diem.

Qualifications

• Active MO RN license or compact license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• IV start and telemetry skills required.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit caring for hemodynamically stable cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• RN to patient ratio of 5:1.
• Night shift, 7p–7a, 3x12 hours, with every other weekend rotation.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, telemetry observation, and post-procedure recovery.
• Performs routine finger-stick blood sugar checks and manages stable cardiac/vasoactive IV drips.
• Provides telemetry nursing care including monitoring of dysrhythmias and post-procedure recovery.
• 60-mile radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Medical Telemetry unit caring for hemodynamically stable cardiac and medical-surgical patients
• RN to patient ratio of 5:1
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7p-7a), with every other weekend rotation
• Blocked scheduling may be discussed with the unit manager though not guaranteed in contract
• Uses Epic charting system
• Cares for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, telemetry observation, and post-procedure recovery
• Performs routine finger stick blood sugar checks and manages stable cardiac/vasoactive IV drips including Diltiazem and Metoprolol
• Provides telemetry nursing care including monitoring of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac procedure recovery, and special care procedures such as blood transfusions and fluid boluses
• Black scrub color required
• 60-mile radius rule applies; local candidates not accepted
