Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Washington. WA or Compact RN licensure and telemetry experience are required for a fast-paced acute care unit.

The role requires a 12-hour day shift (7a–7p) with weekend coverage as needed, and will involve floating within scope. First-time travelers may be considered, and NAS/On-call details are determined by census.

Qualifications

• Active WA or Compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration.
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, with dates of employment and rehire eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a busy telemetry-capable medical/surgical unit.
• Titrate drips including Heparin, blood, and IV fluids.
• Read and validate telemetry strips with monitor techs.
• Work 12-hour day shifts 7a–7p; weekend coverage based on unit needs.
• Unit orientation coordinated with onboarding over 3 shifts; 2026 holiday coverage.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a WA or compact license and telemetry experience in a fast-paced acute care unit.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg Tele unit on the 4th floor with 96 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:4-6 with nurse aide support at 1:8-16
• Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, general surgical, and medical telemetry cases
• 16 beds are telemetry capable, with monitor techs tracking strips and RNs validating and reading them
• RNs required to titrate drips including Heparin, blood, and IV fluids
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 12-hour shifts, Days 7a-7p
• Weekend requirement based on unit needs and demands
• No call or standby requirement, as needed per census
• Floating required within scope for all RNs
• Charge Nurse and House Supervisor support available
• Provide direct patient care on a busy telemetry-capable medical/surgical unit
• Validate and read telemetry strips in coordination with monitor techs
• Titrate drips as part of daily patient care responsibilities
• Unit/department specific orientation coordinated with onboarding process over 3 shifts
• Holiday coverage required for 2026
