Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Arizona. Requires 1 year of recent Med/Surg and telemetry experience with BLS. ACLS if PCU float may be needed. AZ or Compact RN license and IV therapy/phlebotomy skills are required.

Work on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital, with a 1:5-6 patient ratio. Day shift, 3x12s, potential float to PCU and remote monitoring as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license AZ or Compact required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required if skillset allows PCU float.
• 1 year of Med Surg experience required.
• Telemetry experience required for remote monitoring.
• IV therapy/phlebotomy and IV starts/maintenance experience required.
• Oxygen administration, tanks and nasal cannula experience required.
• Isolation precautions/PPE experience required.
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management required.
• Rapid Response/Code team experience required.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital.
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30.
• Meditech charting system, experience preferred but not required.
• Floating to other Med Surg units required as needed, with potential float to PCU if skills align.
• Potential for remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities.
• Orientation held every Monday.
• Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
• Holiday coverage required.
• Travel pairs accepted.
• Locals and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate.
• Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers.
• RTO should be kept minimal and included at time of consideration.
