American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night-shift hospital assignment in the Des Moines area. You will provide care on a 24-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit, with patient ratios of 4-5:1 and occasional post-op overflow, leveraging Epic EMR to document care.

Candidates must have 24 months of Med/Surg Tele experience and current charge nurse experience. Requirements include an active IA license (or compact license), current BLS, a driver's license, and the ability to float

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Minimum 24 months of Med/Surg or Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• Current or recent charge nurse experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Driver's license required for consideration.
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit care for a 24-bed unit with 4-5:1 ratios.
• Remote tele unit monitoring.
• Administer heparin drips per protocol.
• Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts; 48 hours/week (36 hours/week option available).
• Weekend rotation every other or every third weekend depending on staff and census.
• Float across campuses (Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, Iowa Methodist).
• Use Epic EMR for documentation.
• 8, 10, or 13 week contract lengths offered.
• Provide med/surg and telemetry nursing care, including post-op hip/knee overflow.

• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg 3E unit providing care for all types of med surg patients, including overflow of post-op surgical hip and knee cases
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 with a 24-bed unit
• Remote tele tech unit monitoring
• Heparin drip administration
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 48 hours/week (36 hours/week can be accommodated if preferred)
• No call requirements
• Weekend rotation every other or every third weekend depending on staffing and census
• Required to float across campuses to like units (Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist)
• Uses Epic EMR
• 8, 10, or 13 week contract lengths offered
• Provide med/surg and telemetry nursing care, including overflow of post-op surgical hip and knee patients
• Navy blue, solid-color scrubs required
• Holiday rotation required
• Must be at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible, based on driver's license address
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates previously employed by the health system (FTE or PRN) within the past 12 months may not be eligible for travel positions in another market
• No blocked shifts permitted
• Department prefers candidates willing to extend beyond the initial contract
