American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment in Ohio. The ideal candidate holds an OH license or compact license and has at least 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience.

This role requires day/night rotating 4x12 shifts (7pm–7:30am or 7am–7:30pm) with holiday coverage. Expect potential to float to J1-2, J33, and the ED, and note that vaccinations (COVID-19 and flu) and active BLS/ACLS/NIHSS credentials are required.

Qualifications

• OH RN license or compact license required.
• Active BLS: ACLS: NIHSS certifications required and active.
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required.
• One professional reference from a manager/supervisor in the specialty within past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit at a major academic medical center.
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population.
• Day/Night rotating 4x12 shifts (7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm), shifts subject to operational needs.
• Work at least every other holiday.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate orientation with score requirement (max 2 attempts).
• Background check results reviewed by facility; open cases not accepted.
• Licensure hits not accepted.
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from previous end date.
• Local candidates accepted at same bill rate.
• Assignments may extend up to 18 months with 6-month break possible if deferred.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an OH or compact license and 1 year of specialty experience.

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and active (no pending certifications accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required (preferably within one location, but not required)
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, medical/religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit at a major academic medical center
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day/Night rotating 4x12 shifts (7pm-7:30am or 7am-7:30pm), with shifts subject to change based on operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with an acceptable score required (maximum 2 attempts)
• Background check hits are reviewed by the facility, but open cases will not be accepted
• Any hits on professional license will not be accepted
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required unless deferred by facility approval
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
