Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a day shift hospital assignment in Ohio. The ideal candidate holds an active Ohio or compact RN license and has recent Epic charting experience.

Requirements include BLS/ACLS certifications, a minimum of 1 year Med/Surg Tele experience, and one professional reference. You will work 3x12-hour days 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, with vaccinations required and orientation assessments to complete.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months required.
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (coworker references not accepted).
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Uses Epic for electronic charting.
• Required to work at least every other holiday.
• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate.
• Nicotine-free policy does not apply to nurses.
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date.
