American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week hospital assignment in West Virginia. Requires 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active WV or compact RN license. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications are required; AVADE Level I & II preferred.

The role operates in a Med/Surg Tele unit with 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratios, using Meditech EMR. Shifts include day hours with 3x12 and 4x12 rotations, weekends, and holiday coverage. Regional housing and travel support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active WV or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AVADE Level I & II preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required.
• 3-6 months Level IV Trauma or above experience preferred.
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management.
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management.
• Experience with CVA, post-TPA care, and neurosurgery patients preferred.
• Valid driver's license matching permanent address required for consideration.
• Two professional references required: one charge or higher and one supervisor, both completed within the last year.
• Copy of certifications required for consideration.

Responsabilités

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of an expanding hospital department.
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• Day shifts, rotating 3x12 and 4x12 schedule (84 hours per two-week pay period).
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required within scope of practice.
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac, telemetry, neurological, and post-surgical patient populations.
• Manage cardiac drips without titration and administer epidural analgesia and PCA as needed.
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment.
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted.
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after one year before returning to this health system.
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis, but not on the same shift or unit.
