Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for the night shift in Tennessee. Must have MS/Tele and Med/Surg experience and an active TN or compact RN license. BLS is required; ACLS/NIHSS preferred. Expect IV therapy, central line care, blood products, and respiratory support.

Responsibilities include caring for Ortho/Spine/Med/Surg patients, 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratios, floating, and weekend coverage. Epic experience preferred and adherence to CDC PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• RN license (TN or compact) required.
• 1 year of RN experience required.
• MS/Tele and Med/Surg experience required.
• AHA BLS certification required (ACLS/NIHSS preferred).
• IV therapy, central/PICC line management and blood product administration expected.

Responsibilities

• Treating MS/Tele unit patients including Ortho/Spine/Med/Surg.
• Manage 1:7 patient ratios on night shift (18:30–07:00).
• Float as needed and every other weekend.
• Provide nursing care across multiple patient populations.
• Assist in education and supervision of nursing students.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring MS/Tele experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required (ACLS and NIHSS preferred)
• 1 year of RN experience required
• MS/Tele and Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry
• Wound care and isolation precaution/PPE knowledge preferred
• Relias EKG testing required within 72 hours of signing
• Drug test required 12-14 days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines

Responsibilities

• MS/Tele unit treating Ortho/Spine/Med/Surg patients
• 1:7 patient ratios
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:30-07:00) on a 36/36 schedule
• Required to work every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Required to float
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Provide nursing care across Ortho trauma, total joint replacement, renal, neurological, and plastics patient populations
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside patient care duties
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBL modules
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census needs
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
