American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Orthopedics unit with EPIC EMR experience and an active TN or compact RN license. Night shifts are 6:45 PM–7:15 AM on a 3x12 schedule with 1:6 patient ratios and Omnicell medication administration.

Floating to other units is required based on skill, with every-other-weekend coverage and orientation every Monday. Candidates reside >100 miles from any health system facility.

Formación

• Active TN RN license or multistate compact license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of Orthopedics experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required.
• MS/Tele competency required in case of floating.
• Completion of EKG exam required.
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and peripheral line care, and PICC line management required.
• GI care including bowel obstruction and feeding tube management preferred.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM).
• Orthopedics unit with focus on total joint replacement and ortho trauma care.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Medication administered via Omnicell system.
• Floating required to like units based on skill set, including MS/Tele competency.
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on need.
• Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedics unit, including total joint replacement and ortho trauma cases.
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required due to census needs.
• Orientation occurs every Monday along with annual compliance requirements.
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials.
• Does not accept first-time travelers.
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible, with reduced eligibility between 90-99.9 miles.
