American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Orthopedic unit on night shift in Illinois. Active IL license and at least 2 years of clinical experience required.

This 43-bed Level 1 trauma hospital uses EPIC EMR and provides postoperative orthopedic and trauma care with nurses on 12-hour nights and every-other weekend. Local candidates are welcome with a generous benefits package.

Formación

• Active IL RN license required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Postop surgical care and general med/surg experience required.
• BSN not required for this position.
• Negative drug screen required for all panels.

Responsabilidades

• Acute care setting in a Level 1 trauma hospital's Orthopedic unit (6 Ortho).
• 43-bed unit with all private rooms.
• Patient population includes medical surgical, postoperative orthopedic, and trauma cases with fractures.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights.
• PCTs available at a ratio of 1:7-8.
• 12-hour night shifts.
• Every other weekend required (Sat/Sun days or Fri/Sat nights).
• No call or standby requirements.
• Floating required to similar Med/Surg floors, with travel RNs floated first.
• Uses EPIC EMR.
• House-wide telemetry pack monitoring with Phillips monitors.
• RT equipment includes CPAP and heated high flow, used as needed.
• Primary charge RN on each shift with 24/7 house supervisor support.
• Two unit/department specific orientation sessions provided.
• Any color scrubs permitted; adult professional appearance required with tattoos and piercings covered.
• COVID vaccination not required for this position.
• Local candidates welcome; no radius rule, though local rate applies within 50 miles of the facility.
