Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an RN Nurse Navigator for an Oncology Clinic in California. Must hold a CA RN license and BLS; ONS/ONCC chemo certification is required. Ideal candidates have oncology experience within the past two years and EPIC experience is preferred.

The role involves patient triage, coordination of care, infusion support, and charting with occasional float to other UCI campuses. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of full-time equivalent oncology experience in past 2 years
• EPIC experience preferred and must be reflected in work history

Responsibilities

• Oncology clinic setting focused on nurse navigation for adult patients
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Floating required to other UCI campuses
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Responsibilities include patient triage, infusion support, specimen collection, venipuncture/phlebotomy, and oncology-focused patient care coordination
• Also performs office duties such as authorization forms, chart preparation, disability forms, and scheduling appointments
• Must be willing to float to other UCI campuses as needed
• Candidates must be gone a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler to this health system
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
