American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Neuro position in Minnesota. An active Minnesota RN license and at least 1 year of Med/Surg Neuro experience are required. First-time travelers are welcome.

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Neuro experience required
Experience with Rapid Response Team utilization required

Responsibilities

Care on a 45-bed Neuroscience Spine Unit including an 8-bed NPCU step-down area
Utilizes Team Nursing on the general unit and Primary Nursing in the NPCU
Patient ratios vary by role: Team RN/LPN/NA 6-7; RN/LPN 5; RN/NA 4; NPCU 1:3
Ceiling lifts available in 20 patient rooms
Uses ICP monitoring, arterial line monitoring, cardiac monitoring, remote cardiac monitoring, EEG, lumbar drainage
Charting is done in Epic
4x12 Day/Night schedule with every other weekend
Rotating holiday coverage; on-call as needed
May float to like units; work in acute care Magnet-designated teaching hospital with Level II Trauma
Provide direct patient care using cardiac monitoring and rapid response/code protocols
First-time travelers welcome
Candidates must not reside within 25 miles
MN Livescan fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing
Required lab work within 48 hours of signing

Utilizes a Team Nursing model (RN, LPN, NA) on the general unit and a Primary Nursing model (RN, NA) in the NPCU
Patient ratios vary by role: Team RN/LPN/NA 6-7 patients, RN/LPN 5 patients, RN/NA 4 patients, and NPCU 1:3
Ceiling lifts available in 20 patient rooms

Candidates must not reside within 25 miles of the facility
Maximum of 10 days RTO per assignment, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting must be completed in person within 48 hours of signing, on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date
Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
