American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Neuro Med Surg night shift position in Missouri. Requires 2+ years of experience and NIHSS certification.

Active MO RN license, BLS and NIHSS certifications are required. EPIC charting, travel housing allowance, and travel reimbursements are provided. Night shift 19:00-07:30, 3x12 hours, no local candidates within 75 miles.

Responsibilities

Neuro Med Surg unit on night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
Patient ratio of 1:6
Every other weekend rotation
No on-call requirements
May float within scope to other units except ICU/SDU/ED
Uses EPIC charting system
Care for neurological med/surg patients including stroke and joint replacements
Travel assignment with housing allowance and reimbursements

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Neuro Med Surg night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and NIHSS certification.

Requirements

Active MO or compact RN license required (compact must match permanent residence)
BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Fire Safety certification preferred
2+ years of experience preferred
Skills in neurological/psychiatric care, CVA, cardiac monitoring, telemetry (unit and remote preferred), PICC line management, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
Must be able to pass facial fit testing for respirators; facial hair must allow for proper fit or be shaved

Responsibilities

Neuro Med Surg unit on night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
Patient ratio of 1:6
Every other weekend required, either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation
No on-call requirements
May float within scope to any unit except ICU, SDU, and ED
Uses EPIC charting system
Care for neurological med/surg patients including stroke (CVA) and total joint replacement cases
Navy scrub color required
No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO during the first week
Standard travelers residing outside a 75-mile radius may work up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
Former permanent employees of BJC or Saint Luke's facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
