American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Neuro RN for a night shift assignment in Illinois. Candidates must hold an active Illinois RN license, have at least three years of nursing experience, and possess BLS certification.

This assignment uses Epic for charting and requires level 1 trauma experience. The role features a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM schedule, a 36-hour week, and night shifts with every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications

• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation for continuity of care.
• Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety.
• May float to like units.
• Uses Epic for charting.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Neurosciences Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:00AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May float to like units
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provide direct patient care to a designated caseload using the nursing process from admission through discharge

• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Workers may not remain on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year continuously without a 6-month break in service
