Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion RN for a fast-paced ambulatory infusion center in Baltimore, MD.

Role requires an MD or Compact RN license, 2+ years of oncology infusion experience, BLS, and an ONS/OCC chemo/immunotherapy provider card. Day shifts are 8:00 AM–6:30 PM with continuous patient monitoring and education provided to patients.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) currently in hand.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ONS/OCC chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider card.
• Oncology infusion experience required.
• Proficient in peripheral IV insertion and blood draws.
• Access/maintain/de-access central lines.
• Strong physical assessment skills.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Epic/Beacon EMR experience preferred.
• Ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Some ER experience preferred.
• 500+ bed facility experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Clinic within a cancer center.
• Provide care to patients receiving chemo, biotherapy, and immunotherapy infusions.
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts from 8:00 to 18:30.
• Monitor patients continuously and intervene rapidly in emergencies.
• Attend Central Nursing Orientation on 2nd and 4th Mondays.
• Educate patients about treatment and condition management.
• Maintain a patient-focused, supportive environment in a fast-paced setting.
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate.
• Strong candidates preferred for consideration.

• Fast-paced environment requiring continuous patient monitoring and rapid intervention in emergent situations
• Attendance required at Central Nursing Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Continuously monitors patients throughout infusion treatment and intervenes rapidly during emergent situations
• Provides ongoing patient education related to treatment and condition management
• Works within a supportive, patient-focused, relaxed care environment despite a fast-paced clinical setting
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Strong candidates preferred for consideration at this facility
