Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Infusion position in oncology, with Chemo/Bio certification, to support an outpatient hematology/oncology center.

This travel role features a day schedule, no weekends or on-call, infusion procedures, port access, EMR work, and a generous benefits package including housing allowance and travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required.
• BLS and Chemo/Bio certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of oncology/infusion experience.
• Skilled in administration of anti-neoplastic agents, port access, and IV starts.
• Knowledge of chemo/immunotherapy side effects and management.
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration.
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Responsibilities

• Hematology and Oncology outpatient clinic located within a cancer center, with infusion chairs on one side and provider exam rooms on the other.
• 60 infusion chair unit averaging 125 patients per day.
• Adult oncology patient population across all cancer types.
• Patient ratios up to 1:4 depending on assigned pod.
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
• No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements.
• No floating required.
• Uses Epic/Encompass EMR.
• Administer chemotherapy and other infusion treatments to oncology patients.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, MAs, and MDs, with on-site lab and radiology support.
• Team-oriented unit culture with facility and unit orientation provided.
• Royal blue scrub color required.
• Free parking available.
• Facility closed on holidays.
• Must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Previous employees must have been separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position.
