Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology Infusion RN for an ambulatory cancer center requiring a chemo/bio/immunotherapy provider card and strong IV insertion skills.

The role is in Maryland with a day shift: 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. 2+ years of RN experience in oncology infusion is required, and travel nursing experience is preferred. Local candidates are welcome at the same rate.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in MD or Compact required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Oncology infusion experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ONS/OCC chemo/biotherapy provider card (full course) required.
• Proficient in peripheral IV insertion and peripheral blood draws.
• Skilled in accessing, maintaining, and de-accessing central lines.
• Strong assessment skills and patient education.
• Ambulatory experience preferred.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Epic/Beacon EMR experience preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Emergency room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced ambulatory oncology infusion clinic at a comprehensive cancer center.
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Continually monitor patients throughout treatment and intervene rapidly in emergent situations.
• Provide patient-focused care in a relaxed, supportive environment.
• Experience in a facility with 500+ bed count preferred given the scale of this cancer center.
• Only strong, well-matched candidates will be considered for this position.
