Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at Magnet Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will work 3x12-hour nights (36 hours per week) with an ASAP start and a total weekly pay guidance of $2,182, including lodging and meals.

The role rotates between Med Surg and Stepdown in a dynamic float pool. Candidates must have IA RN license (or compact), BLS/ACLS, 36+ months progressive care or med/surg experience, and Epic EMR

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift assignment requiring 36 months of progressive care, stepdown, or med surg experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Float pool role rotating between Med Surg and Stepdown units
• Patient population includes all types of med surg and stepdown cases
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IA state RN license or compact/multistate license required
• Current BLS (AHA or ARC) and ACLS (AHA or ARC) certifications required
• Minimum 36 months of progressive care, stepdown, or med surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience administering and titrating nitro, heparin, and amiodarone required
• Stepdown experience preferred
• Critical care experience a plus
• Neurology and oncology care experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across med surg and stepdown floors as part of a float pool team
• Scrub colors required: black or navy
• Holiday rotation required, working 1-2 of 3 designated Summer or Winter holidays depending on assignment period
• Limited time-off requests permitted during designated holiday blocks
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN in the float pool) are restricted from travel assignments in other markets per separation policy
