American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool in California. CA RN licensure and 2+ years of heavy neuro and joints experience are required, with ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications preferred.

The role involves a 3x12 hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), mandatory floating to ARU and DOU, and nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 in DOU and 1:5 in ARU. RTO must be submitted upfront; travel pairs accepted.

Formación

• CA RN license is required
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Telemetry experience
• Prior MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Patient ratio experience 1:4-5
• Experience with charting systems
• Clinical skills in dysrhythmia management, IV starts and wound care

Responsabilidades

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring CA RN licensure and heavy neuro and joints experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (CPI preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Prior MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:4-5 required
• Charting system experience required (any system)
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, feeding tube care, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, IV starts, nasal cannula and oxygen face mask use, non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy care, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac management
• Preferred skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, chest tube management, high flow nasal cannula, phlebotomy, and PICC line management
• Experience with craniotomy, CVA, post-TPA care, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and total joint replacement preferred
• Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 365 days before returning as a traveler

Responsibilities

• MS/Tele Float unit with day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required (Sunday night not counted as a weekend)
• Mandatory floating to ARU and DOU within scope of practice
• Heavy neuro and joint replacement patient population
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 in DOU and 1:5 in ARU
• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry float unit with regular floating to step-down and intermediate care areas
• RTO must be submitted upfront with no exceptions
• Travel pairs accepted, though matching schedules are not guaranteed
