Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool in Sioux Falls, SD, covering Telemetry with a Central Resource Pool. This full-time role requires an active SD or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certification, with at least 1 year of RN experience.

The position features 12-hour day/night shifts, every other weekend and holiday, and uses EPIC. Navy blue scrubs are required, and local candidates within 80 miles may be considered at an adjusted pay rate.

Qualifications

• Must have SD or compact RN license (active).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Telemetry unit experience required.
• BSN not required.

Responsibilities

• Cover Med/Surg and Telemetry units within the Central Resource Pool.
• 12-hour day/night shifts with rotating schedule.
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for patient care.
• Provide nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation.
• Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional teams to plan and evaluate care.
• Care for patients across all phases of preventative care, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
• Coordinate care, assess patients, educate, and triage as needed.
• Must badge in and out at the facility; Navy blue scrubs required.
• Local candidates within 80 miles may receive adjusted pay.

• Provides individualized nursing care using the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborates with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate patient care
• Cares for patients across all phases of preventative care, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
• Responsible for care coordination, patient assessment, education, and triage
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Candidates who previously worked for the health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Local candidates within 80 miles may be considered at an adjusted pay rate
