Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Float RN with telemetry experience for night shift. Requires SC or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years' nursing experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry. You will float to multiple MS and Tele units on a 3x12 schedule, with Epic EMR usage and weekend requirements.

First-time travelers are welcome; oncology and other specialty patient care not required. Competitive pay, benefits, and travel support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in SC or Compact, pending license accepted if obtained before start.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Telemetry nursing experience.
• Experience with 1:5–6 patient ratios and telemetry monitoring.
• Proficient in IV therapy, line care, and starting/maintaining IVs.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Care experience with stroke (CVA), neuro/psych, and renal failure patients.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE use, and oxygen delivery.

Responsibilities

• MS/Tele Float on 4 North with pool across 5 MS and 4 Tele units.
• Maintain patient ratios around 1:6 during float.
• Work night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15).
• Occasional weekend work as required.
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and orders.
• Float to other MS units as needed and within pool.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN with telemetry experience and 2+ years of experience for a night shift position requiring an SC or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required; pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with CVA, neurological/psychiatric, and renal failure patient care
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and oxygen administration via nasal cannula

Responsibilities

• MS/Tele Float position on 4 North, part of a resource pool floating to 5 MS and 4 Tele units
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Uses Epic EMR
• Float requirements to other MS units as needed
• Float to 5 MS and 4 Tele units as part of a resource pool
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius rule
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Staff RNs who previously worked at the facility cannot return as travelers
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration
